Today's Tao

It's simply unsatisfactory. That's why they are not satisfied. (Ch.72)


A: "Master Bonbon, I am not content. I am not satisfied. What's wrong with me?"

B: "The world is full of injustice. You must do something to change this stupid world. Donate all of your family fortune and meditate for thirty years!"


C'mon, Master Bonbon. You are the stupid one.

Stop your idiocies and listen to what Lao Tzu is telling us here.

Your hologram, which you call this world, is perfect although it seems to you "unsatisfactory" sometimes.

Your judgement causes this.

But don't worry.

Although you are not supposed to judge, there is nothing wrong with your judging things if you cannot help it.

It is part of your hologram.

You just have to know that it is perfectly all right if you are not satisfied.

It's "Tao's fear", the unsatisfactoriness of perfection.

Everyone in the world under the sky says that I am Big and resemble an idiot who doesn't look like his parents. (Ch.67)


Everyone in the world under the sky, including "parents" or whoever, is part of your hologram.

When you talk about Tao, people must laugh at you, saying like:

"All right, all right. You are Tao. You are the sage. I know. I know. I am sick and tired of hearing that I have got to love others. Listen. I don't want to patronize you, but your stories about Tao are bizarre. You speak like an idiot. Look at your family. Your parents, brothers, and sisters are quite normal. You are a black sheep in the family."

Lao Tzu is saying that other people should react like that.

You "resemble an idiot".

You are not like your parents, who are part of the hologram.

The holograms are also called prayers, which are telling you that true You are Tao. (☞About Big = Tao, see Ch.25 Manifestation)

Have they ever had a family?

No.

Because you do not possess your holograms, which include your family.

Leaving the family is one way to learn that the whole world is a hologram.

Of course, you can choose another way of learning it while listening to all the gibberish of your family members.

You never know, an enlightened layman in eighth-century China, Hokoji 龐居士 / P'ang Yun 龐蘊, may have gone through the same thing.

Love your hologram.

Accept your own self and people close to you as they are.

Then, you can re-circulate Tao's energy.

The world in front of you is abundant of this fundamental energy whatever you call it.

First, love your body.

This is the best and true attainment of Tao.


Second, love your family.

The closer they are to you, the more important they are.

What they say are catalysts for you, in other words, Tao's messages.


Third, love the environment you are living in right now.


In the end, love the world in general.

Don't get annoyed by what the media tell you.

☞The floating world, Uki-yo in Japanese, is the way they look at life. That's where geisha girls used to dwell and yakuza men were heroes. Ukiyo-e are called Japanese prints, but the word means the pictures of the floating world. Life is ephemeral. Enjoy it while you can. Tatoo, Irezumi 刺青. Or you might want to pronounce the kanji characters Shisei as novelist Junichiro Tanizaki named one of his first successful short stories. A: "I will do anything to protect my family."

B: "Fine. But what happened to your righteousness? I suppose you were fighting to save the planet or something."

A": "Now I am fighting for my family. I don't care about someone else's righteousness. By the way, you forgot to say hello to my son."

B: "Oh! Excuse me. I was not polite."

A: "Certainly you are not polite. Listen. My family is my colony. It is my territory. If you are not polite to any of my family members, I will consider it an attack to my kingdom."


Do we really have to accept a man like this one?

My answer is "Yes."

By accepting him, we turn our prayer wheel, which is called the world.

Mon Chi-Chi, the artist

Mon Chi-Chi and I are creating ASAKUSA Underground, an alternative Tokyo travel site.

My collaborator is a digital artist.

His creation is subtle but audacious.

One can tell immediately that he is talented.

Now it is about time he promoted his art.

Last night we had a long discussion by telephone about the direction of developing our site.

He is in Bangkok now.

It seems that he is a little confused.

He is the son of my cousin.

We are running a bit of a family business.

Free calls

A few weeks ago, we received a notice from SFR, which is a telecommunication company connecting us to telephone and ADSL.

They had already had its free call service to various countries, but Japan and Thailand were not included. In the letter, they informed us that these areas were officially included.

My girlfriend is still caucious, thinking that it could be a fraud.

After several trials and verification on her account (she is the one who pays), we were ready to go for calling my family and friends.

I talked with Hiro, my old friend and my mother.

Both of them are in Japan.

Later in the evening, we got a call from Mon Chi-chi, the son of my first cousin and my collaborator for Asakusa Underground travel site, currently travelling in Thailand.

He had been to several go-go-bars and naughty places and seemed to be having a nice time, though he said that he was a little disappointed because he had not picked any square girls on the street.

Families and friends are nice, aren't they?
