Today's Tao
Two gives birth to Three. (Ch.42)
Now Tao has got the sending end and the receiving end in itself.
It is ready to send the energy.
Send what?
There is nothing but Tao the fundamental energy, so it has to be it.
The third of the three is the energy in the middle between the two ends.
Tao sends Tao.
Tao receives Tao.
The wheel turns.
That's how Tao remain being Tao.
For this process, "everything" exists.

-Don't worry, Mr Hesse. Nobody is beneath the wheel. He IS the wheel. We need not worry about the great author, though. When Hermann Hesse wrote «Beneath the Wheel», certainly he was young and knew much less. Later on, he wrote «Siddartha» and we can tell that he knew life was the wheel. This book with the name of Buddha has little to do with his biography. Rather, it is a record of the spiritual development of the poet.
