Tao Te Ching Chapter 42-1 One's birth

Today's Tao

Tao gives birth to One. (Ch.42)

In the corresponding part of Chuang Tzu,

it says:

"At the very beginning, there is Nothing.

No existence. No names.

Where One rises up, there is One but it doesn't have a form yet."

(«Chuang Tzu» 12-8)

Often the word "One" means Tao.

Therefore, Tao gives birth to Tao.

This it it!

Tao creates Tao.

This is the basis of the cycle.

The rest is a catalyst to stimulate the cycle.

Tao answers your question!

-«Kokoro», heart or mind. Soseki Natsume was probably the first Japanese novelist to write about the cruelty of a modern society. He had done it even before Japan truly embraced modernism. Kokoro suffers when you are forced to be independent and to judge and decide by yourself. Now more than ever, young Japanese need this book, it seems. They appear to prefer social cohesion to independence in terms of decision-making.
