Today's Tao

Tao models itself upon nature. (Ch.25)


Be careful.

The word "nature" here doesn't mean the same "nature" as we know of.

It signifies "the manifestation by itself".

Tao creates all, so Tao creates Tao.

This is what Lao Tzu call "return".

In Zen Buddhism, you can find a similar thing.

It's called "Butsu kojo ji".

It is discussed in Tao by Matsumoto / Chapter 25 / Manifestation.

One of them is the king. (Ch.25)


"The king" means you because you create your hologram, the world.

Lao Tzu emphasises it here.

The one who project the holographic world is also Tao.

Is it difficult to tell true You from your feelings and body?

If you accept that you are Tao, all your troubles will disappear.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 25-14 Four Bigs

Today's Tao

Within the zone, there are four Bigs. (Ch.25)


"Zone" obviously suggests your hologram.

In your hologram, there are four Bigs, that it to say, four types of Tao.

Heaven and earth are Tao.

It means your hologram is Tao.

You are Tao.

Tao is Tao.

It means "Tao returns".

It returns and returns.

This is the Yin Yang cycle.

Therefore, Tao is Big. Heaven is Big. Earth is Big. The king is Big. (Ch.25)


"Big" is another name of Tao.

Let's rephrase all.

Tao is Tao.

Heaven is Tao.

Earth is Tao.

The king, which means you, is Tao.

Tao returns.

Tao creates Tao.

So, they say, "Tao is Tao".

Tao is big.

"Far away" means the limit of the world.

Of course, Tao goes beyond the limit because it is bigger than the world, which is your hologram.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 25-5 Go around

Today's Tao

It goes around and never stops. (Ch.25)


"Goes around" indicates Yin Yang circle.

Yin and Yang are exactly like the shiny and shadowy sides of the moon.

They are not two different entities.

They are the names of the two parts of the one thing.

Metaphorically, Tao turns around like a prayer wheel in a Tibetan temple.

The world (=your hologram) is the prayer wheel.

Its objective is constant rotation.

Every time it turns around, it emits the fundamental energy Tao.

Then, Tao manifests itself through the living prayer wheel called the world (=your hologram).

That's why some Buddhists say the world is Buddha's prayer.

Of course, the prayer never stops.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 25-4 Independence

Today's Tao

It's independent. It doesn't change. (Ch.25)


Tao creates your hologram (=the world), which includes your own self.

The explanation is supposed to end here, but you can say that firstly Tao creates your "self" and body, then in your brains you project the holographic images of the rest of the world.

Therefore, your hologram doesn't affect Tao.

It is independent of the world (=your hologram) though it manifests itself through the worldly beings.

Although Tao is called the fundamental energy, it doesn't change its form like other forms of energy.

There is neither sound nor form in Tao.

Some readers may want to interpret Tao as a kind of field, where the transmission of energy takes place in a form of wave.

This idea will help you to abandon the concept that the world is concrete.

Nevertheless, it is not ideal to think of Tao this way because it may give you the idea that Tao has time and space.

Time and space belong to your hologram and Tao doesn't have them.

It is born before heaven and earth. (Ch.25)


It creates (or projects) your hologram, which includes your own self and the rest of the world.

If it is easier for you, you can interpret it as follows.

Your own brains, which are holograms, project in the mind the holographic images of the world (=heaven and earth) in order to enable you to comprehend it.

Time and space are concepts that your "mind" adds to restructure all the information into 3-dimensional moving and tangible images.

They are called holography.
