☞When Shusaku Endo talks about a river, it is something more than just the flow of water. It is the flow that connects all the people, all beings. Deep inside everyone, this Deep River flows. Eventually, every being go back to this river. ☞When Yasunari Kawabata talks about a country, it is not an entity that is governed or controlled by some people. It is a patria that exists in men's collective subconsciousness. His country is covered with snow, which is the symbol of purity and virginity. No matter what the geisha girl has been doing, she is always pure and beautiful in this famous Snow Country, where you will arrive after having gone through the long tunnel on the border.
