Tao Te Ching Chapter 67-5 Protect the treasures
Today's Tao
I keep and protect them. (Ch.67)
You've got to keep and protect the three treasures, or the three important ways.
1. Send Love.
2. Don't waste any.
3. Don't try to be the first. / Try not to be the first.
How can you keep them?
It's easy.
Do nothing.
Do nothing?
Right.
Do nothing.
In fact, whether you are aware or not, you are practicing them all the time.
Your acts are part of your hologram.
So, whatever you do, you are sending Love.
You can never waste any of your hologram.
You are already the first without trying.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 67-3 Ordinary?
Today's Tao
If I were ordinary and looked like my parents, I would long have been small. (Ch.67)
You are special because true You are Tao.
Be courageous to say:
天上天下唯我独尊
[tenjo tenge yuiga doku son]
"Above heave, below heaven, I am the only respectable being".
The baby Buddha said this when he was born.
This baby Buddha is you.
Don't try to be "ordinary" like others.
If you try to be ordinary, you will be stuck in your hologram.
This is the state of being "small".
You will be stuck in your "small" self, or mind, or body.
Aren't you thinking that you are a "small" part of the world?
No. You are the biggest and most respectable of all because you are the one who projects it.
How can you be ordinary!

Tao Te Ching Chapter 67-1 Idiot
Today's Tao
Everyone in the world under the sky says that I am Big and resemble an idiot who doesn't look like his parents. (Ch.67)
Everyone in the world under the sky, including "parents" or whoever, is part of your hologram.
When you talk about Tao, people must laugh at you, saying like:
"All right, all right. You are Tao. You are the sage. I know. I know. I am sick and tired of hearing that I have got to love others. Listen. I don't want to patronize you, but your stories about Tao are bizarre. You speak like an idiot. Look at your family. Your parents, brothers, and sisters are quite normal. You are a black sheep in the family."
Lao Tzu is saying that other people should react like that.
You "resemble an idiot".
You are not like your parents, who are part of the hologram.
The holograms are also called prayers, which are telling you that true You are Tao. (☞About Big = Tao, see Ch.25 Manifestation)

Tao Te Ching Chapter 54-13 Jin juppo kai / See the world
Today's Tao
See the world under the sky through the world under the sky. (Ch.54)
See Tao through your hologram.
What is "the world under the sky"?
In the original Kanji / Chinese characters, it is written 天下 [tenka], which literally means "under the sky" and is often translated as "the world".
In Zen Buddhism, they like to use the expression 尽十方界 [jin juppo (jippo) kai].
Each Kanji / Chinese character signifies "exhaust - ten - direction - area" respectively.
The phrase can be translated as "ten nooks and crannies of the whole world".
Master Dogen says in the chapter of Jippo (Juppo) in his Shobogenzo:
"Ten nooks and crannies of the whole world are the only eye of a one-eyed monk.
That is to say, they are the only eye of the one-eyed Monk Gautama Buddha.
Monk Gautama Buddha's eye is «Shobogenzo / the authentic manifestation of holography», which I have got."
尽十方界是沙門一隻眼。いまいうところは瞿曇沙門眼の一隻なり。瞿曇沙門眼は吾有正法眼蔵なり。
(Jippo 十方, «Shobogenzo»)

☞The world = Jippokai (Juppokai) = Hologram = Ukiyo = The floating world. «An Artist of the Floating World» is one of Kazuo Ishigro's first successful novels. It was shortlisted for the 1986 Booker Prize. Utamaro is one of the best known Japanese painters internationally. Kitagawa Utamaro and Katsushika Hokusai were the two giants of Ukiyo-e prints. Some of their works are still illegal to exhibit in Japan, which seems to have an effect to stimulate the imagination of its citizens.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 45-10 Clear & Still
Today's Tao
Being clear and still makes you the master of the world under the sky. (Ch.45)
Be still.
Be clear.
Then, you will be the master of the world.
In other words, when you are calm, you can easily remember the most important fact, which is that true You are Tao itself.
Zen master Dogen says clearly:
"«The highest Bodhi / wisdom 無上菩提 [mujo bodai]»
is
«Authentic manifestation of holography 正法眼蔵 [Shobogenzo]»,
is
«Stillness 寂静 [jaku jo]»,
and
is
«Do nothing 無為 [mu i]»."
(Inmo 恁麼, «Shobogenzo»)

Tao answers your question!
☞What is happiness to you? Some people dream of a happy retirement, but it was not the case with Katsushika Hokusai. To him, happiness is painting. He just wanted to paint and the rest had no importance. Money, fame, or even the hygiene of his house was not important at all. At the moment of his departure from this floating world, he wished he were able to live five, ten years more to be a perfect painter.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 20-16 Sea
Today's Tao
Calm as if it were the sea. (Ch.20)
Tao resembles the sea.
It is calm, but has plenty of energy inside.
Let's stop the beautiful comparison here, though.
Otherwise, you would be Chuang Tzu's frog in the well.
If you think that Tao is the energy surrounding you, you are surely the frog.
Tao is the sea without its mass.
It is the energy without its volume.
So, you cannot be stuck in there.
You are the energy.

Hokusai's print above certainly inspired Quiksilver's logo, but waves are never that big at Tokyo Bay. Well, who knows. Probably, once every one hundred years when a typhoon hits a right spot. The image on the left is much closer to its reality. So, please do not pack your travel bag to try to catch a huge Tokyo Bay monster wave.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 56-2 One who says
Today's Tao
One who says does not know. (Ch.56)
These days, people talk too much.
Once silence was golden, but now it is something negative.
We don't need any decoding for this maxim.
Too much analysis will lead us to complications.
Lao Tzu doesn't talk much.
Dogen does.

☞«Drama and Desire: Japanese painting from the Floating World» is a beautiful collection of Japanese painting, which includes Hokusai and Utamaro. Desire is sacred in the country of the rising sun. Nevertheless, sometimes desire, which the Japanese word "iro (=color)" expresses, can be prohibited. Yukio Mishima plays with the word "Kinjiki", which originally means the colors which common people were not allowed to wear in the old days. The word can be interpreted as forbidden desire.
