Tao Te Ching Chapter 81-8 Sage's Tao

Today's Tao

The sage's Tao acts and doesn't compete. (Ch.81)

Who is the sage?

Of course, you are the one.

Then, who are you?

"Eh, excuse me, sir, which are you talking about, 'true You' or 'your own self'? Self doesn't exist, right?"

That's right.

Self, life, world. They are names given to some groups of information.

They are not independent entities.

"I see. Eh, excuse me, sir. What is 'true I'?"

True You are Tao.

Tao is always "acting without competing", that is to say, projecting a hologram without directly interfering with it.

Tao, Love, Buddha, and Zen among others are names given to the fundamental energy.

"Eh, sir, it is also called nothingness 無 [mu], right?"

Exactly.

Please picture the circulation of an energy with neither time nor space.

What else can you call it but nothingness.

Time and space are parameters used to reconstruct information in "the mind".

In other words, they are names.

"If you can talk about Tao, that Tao is not Tao itself."

This very first line of Tao Te Ching is not saying that it is impossible to understand Taoism logically. No!

It is possible to comprehend Taoism logically.

It is saying that the comprehension itself is part of your hologram.

«Recommended Books 18» The most important function of a Japanese is making love. It doesn't matter if he is the poorest dropout living in the forests or the most revered priest of Shintoism living in the castle. He or she has got to make love. This could be a hidden heritage from our Polynesian ancestors or a genetic mission imprinted in the deepest recess of our chromosomes. Whatever it is the reason, the Japanese love to make love not only for the reproduction of the people but for pleasure. In spite of all the moral prohibitions by Confucianism and by jealous parents, Japanese girls have been successfully finding a way to enjoy making love. We used to have an institution called Geisha girls. Though it changes names and appearances, the institution never die out. A nice gift of a Gucci bag is an excuse good enough to make love with an aged stranger. Why? Because making love is sacred. Carnal desire is a manifestation of divinity. We, all the human beings, are divine. That's why we make love for pleasure. The gadgets for pleasure are offerings to the deity of joy. Please read «Kojiki», one of the oldest written records in Japanese, and «Love Songs from the Man'yoshu: Selections from a Japanese Classic», one of the oldest anthologies of Waka poems, which is a precursor of Haiku. You will see why love and desire are officially important.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 73-5 Heaven's Tao wins

Today's Tao

Heaven's Tao doesn't compete but wins well. (Ch.73)

In Chapter 68, Lao Tzu says:

"A true winner doesn't compete".

(☞See True winner 68-3)

In Chapter 22 and 66, he repeats twice:

"Simply he doesn't compete. That's why no one under the sky can compete with him".

(☞See Aikido 22-12 and Don't compete 66-7)

Neither a true winner nor a sage compete.

Lao Tzu gives us a little hint about the reason.

The key is the expression "Heaven's Tao".

Heaven = Hologram

So, it means that every part of your hologram has Tao's energy.

It is ridiculous to force the energy of one part to compete against that of another.

Then, what does "winning" mean?

It is to maximize the circulating energy of Tao by receiving it without resistance and sending it as much as possible.

You are always winning because you are always receiving Love and sending Love through your hologram no matter what you are doing.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 68-6 Aikido & Tariki / Other people's power

Today's Tao

This is called the use of other people's power. (Ch.68)

Use other people's power by lowering yourself without competing.

Two points.

1.

This is the idea of Aikido.

Don't compete.

Synchronize the energy.

Use the opponent's power.

2.

When you look at this from the Buddhists' point of view, this is Tariki / Other-power.

You are not in charge of your own salvation, but Amida Butsu / Amitābha Buddha will take care of it.

This Tariki / Other-power is a useful tool.

Thanks to the presence of Amida, who is the mighty force outside you, you can reduce your resistance.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 68-5 No competition

Today's Tao

This is called attainment by no competition. (Ch.68)

Why does Lao Tzu ask you not to compete or fight?

Because competition and fight are forms of resistance.

They are refusal of acceptance.

First, you accept the world, which is your hologram.

Second, you are one with Tao, that is to say, you remember that true You are Tao and your own self is just part of the hologram.

Third, remembering You = Tao is the attainment of Tao. This is also called Dark Depth Attainment 玄徳 [gen toku].

Fourth, while accepting your hologram, you emit the fundamental energy Tao, which is True You or which you can call Love.

Fifth, Tao, or Love, is out there. Now you go back to the first step and accept it through the hologram.

We keep this cycle.

☞The company's name Lotte was named after Charlotte Sophie Henriette Buff, the heroine of Goethe's «The Sorrows of Young Werther». Now the company owns two baseball clubs in Chiba, Japan and Busan, South Korea, and sells «Koala no march / The march of Koalas», or Lotte Koala Cookie Chocolate, which is believed to be one of the sweets most sought-after by tourists. Is this the result of a never-ending fight and competition? No, it is the happy ending of a love for baseball and sweets. Our beloved Lotte is always "the sweetheart of your mouth" (or our champions at heart).

Tao Te Ching Chapter 68-3 True winner

Today's Tao

A true winner doesn't compete. (Ch.68)

A: "Master Bonbon, another religious group has just opened its office in our town. Can we win against them?"

B: "Do whatever to win! Make more people join our organization. Tell them we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee policy. «If you don't get Satori, you will get your donation back, excluding the transaction charges»".

If you don't compete, you will never be beaten.

Lao Tzu says:

"Simply, he doesn't compete. That's why no one under the sky can compete with him." (Ch.22)

This is the essence of Aiki-do 合気道, or Tao of synchronized energy. (☞See Aikido 22-12 and Don't compete 66-7)

The so-called enemy is part of your hologram along with your own self.

So, it is useless to compete.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 66-7 Don't compete

Today's Tao

He doesn't compete, so no one in the world under the sky can compete with him. (Ch.66)

You want to fight, right?

"Get up and stand up. Don't give up to fight."

Right?

But against what?

Everyone and everything in the world is part of your hologram.

You are the one who projects it.

Do you want to compete with yourself?

It's useless.

Don't stand up.

Lower yourself.

That's Lao Tzu's message.

Don't fight.

Love all.

Everything you see is asking you to send Love (=Tao).

Tao Te Ching Chapter 22-12 Aikido

Today's Tao

Simply, he doesn't compete. That's why no one under the sky can compete with him. (Ch.22)

Do not compete.

Then, no one can beat you.

This is the essence of Aiki-do 合気道.

Ai 合 means synchronizing.

Ki 気 energy.

Do 道 Tao.

The Tao of synchronizing the energy.

We do not fight. We just create harmony with our opponent.

In the Today's Tao sentence, we have the expression "under the sky". It means your hologram.

It is useless to compete with characters or images you create in your hologram.

This world is already in the state of Ai-ki 合気 the synchronized energy.

We just forget it sometimes.
