Tao Te Ching Chapter 78-4 Be weak

Today's Tao

The weak beats the strong. (Ch.78)

What is true strength?

If you are truly strong, what do you look like?

If you are genuinely strong, you look like a fool.

True strength is the capacity to accept all.

Fighting like a man against injustice is a useless resistance.

Resistance is a form of being lost in Mayoi.

It is a refusal to accept all.

A man who looks like a fool can accept all.

A famous Chinese painter and calligrapher, Tei Hankyou / Zheng Banqiao 鄭板橋 (1693-1765) liked to draw the phrase:

"It is difficult to be a fool 難得糊塗".

But if you follow Tao, nothing is difficult because you are happy to be as weak as a fool without resistance.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 73-1 Act without living

Today's Tao

If you are brave enough to do, you don't live. (Ch.73)

Some say: "If you are not happy, you are not truly living."

Lao Tzu would say: "If you are brave enough to act, I'm sorry, you are not truly living."

Your so-called life is a hologram.

A hologram is not a true life.

Your true life is sending Love to Tao.

Remember? Tao, Love, and true You are synonyms.

Sending Love is the famous "doing nothing".

Some say: "Do something!".

Lao Tzu would say: "If you do something, act directly on your hologram, or refuse to accept the world as it is, I'm sorry, you are neither "doing nothing" nor truly living".

Tao Te Ching Chapter 72-2 Not satisfied?

Today's Tao

If they are not tired of where they stay, they are not satisfied with where they live. (Ch.72)

"I am sick and tired of this world!"

Would you like to cry it out once in a while?

Congratulations!

Lao Tzu might be happy for you.

Here he is giving you a precious piece of advice:

When you are satisfied with something, you feel "you are sick and tired of it".

This sensation of "being tired" is a good sign that you are detached from the world and not engaged.

How can you be engaged to the world while accepting it as a catalyst!

In other words, no matter how you feel about this catalytic world, you are in fact satisfied.

Don't judge the level of your satisfaction.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 65-2 Too intelligent

Today's Tao

It is difficult to govern people because they are too intelligent. (Ch.65)

"How intelligent you are!"

When someone tells you this, does it make you happy?

If so, you have got a few things to think about.

First, is intelligence yours?

Is intelligence generated purely inside your own self?

Intelligence is information that comes and goes just like the clouds in the sky.

Second, does intelligence help you?

If you don't care about it, no problem.

It is like the flowers on the field.

But if you think that intelligence is a powerful tool to analyze the objective world, mmm, certainly it is a hindrance.

The word "people" means «you» in the Today's Tao sentence.

Lao Tzu is telling you:

"Don't be intelligent!".

☞The original of Akira Kurosawa's «Rashomon» is Ryunosuke Akutagawa's «In the Grove / Yabu no Naka». Akutagawa also wrote a short story called «Kappa». A kappa is a legendary bipedal semiaquatic creature. It is believed to be as intelligent as human beings, probably more. It has a dish-like body part situated on the top of the head, where it can keep water. As long as the part is wet, it can prolong the time outside the river. Kappa 河童 literally means a river kid. It is thought to adore cucumbers. That's why a sushi roll with a piece of cucumber is called "Kappa-maki".

Tao Te Ching Chapter 64-14 Before completed

Today's Tao

When people do a job, they always defeat it just before it's completed. (Ch.64)

Let's talk about a less ideal approach first.

Even if you cannot suppress a desire to profit from the world surrounding you, don't blame yourself.

Just don't try to act on the world, which is your hologram.

Do you try to change something even if you are happy about it?

No, right?

You try to change it because you are not happy.

This refusal of your hologram creates resistance.

It will block the natural flow of Tao "just before" the hologram comes to exist.

With a seemingly disfigured world, you get frustrated, and it will increase the resistance.

How can you profit from the situation!

Let's discuss another approach tomorrow.

☞Osamu Dazai and Yukio Mishima detested each other. One was jealous of the other, one did not like the other's political views, or one despised the other's writing style. While Dazai's style was based on the oral tradition of story-telling in Japan, that of Mishima was more solidly constructed in terms of the signification of a word or a phrase. One thing is quite clear. Because of the difference, it is easier to translate Mishima's works than those of Dazai. Though it does not at all mean that the latter's works are better than those of the former, it explains why Mishima is internationally better known than Dazai.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 63-12 Easy origin

Today's Tao

Many easy things must be the origin of many difficulties. (Ch.63)

Is it difficult, your life?

Is this world complicated?

Do you think it is because you have underestimated the potential difficulty of an easy thing?

Well, if so, please remember that Lao Tzu and Zen will never ever stop encouraging you to live happily.

If your life seems complicated, please remember that it is just a hologram you project.

Once you accept this, things are gonna be simple and easy.

Difficulties, as well as easy piece-of-cake things, exist to give you opportunities to emit more love, which is another name of the fundamental energy Tao.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 62-9 Guilty?

Today's Tao

Didn't they say: "You get what you want. Even when you are guilty, you can get away"? (Ch.62)

If you believe in Tao, you can get what you want.

You don't believe me, do you?

Then I rephrase it.

If you believe in Tao, you are aware that you are the one who is projecting all.

How about this?

Now you believe me.

Hhh, modern people are too complicated.

It wasn't like that in Lao Tzu's days.

If you believe in Tao, no one is guilty, right?

Why?

Because you don't judge.

Everyone gets away and you are happy for that.

☞More than ever in the history of Japan! Now Osamu Dazai's «No Longer Human» is closer to the comportment of the Japanese youngsters than ever. At least, Dazai had a relatively strong capability in carnal conquest, and fathered two well-know daughters / writers from two different women. These days Japanese boys are no longer libidinous. Tao Te Ching Chapter 46-4 Not content?

Today's Tao

No calamity is bigger than not knowing contentment. (Ch.46)

A: "Master Bonbon, I want to be happy? What should I do?"

B: "Be content, and you will be happy."

A: "But, Master Bonbon, tell me how I can be content."

B: "Pay your annual income, and you can buy contentment from our organization."

What is contentment, really?

It is the same as doing nothing.

All of us are here to sustain the system, which is the cycle of the fundamental energy with many different names.

But our task is very simple.

We accept and love what we experience, with contentment, by doing nothing.

☞Some colors are forbidden to wear. The color Korozen (#d99502) is the color that only the emperor of Japan can wear. It is reddish yellow, which is very difficult to dye. No korozen color is identical to another, they say. As for Yukio Mishima's «Forbidden Colors», its impression seems to vary as much as the korozen. Color implies desire in Japan. Some adore Mishima's audacity to write about the forbidden desire. Others simply try to deny the existence of the forbidden practice in many established institutes in the land of Samurai.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 36-5 Mini enlightenment

Today's Tao

This is called minute enlightenment. (Ch.36)

If you give more, you can take more.

It is wise, but it is just minute, mini, small enlightenment.

It is not the true Satori.

Of course, you are free to use the Dark Depth Female technique for your benefit.

But, doesn't it mean that you are not happy about what it is right here right now?

Eh, eh, you are refusing to accept your world as it is.

Aren't you fighting against your own hologram?

The mini enlightenment is fine as your first step to transform it, but let's accept all without any resistance.

That's the big, gigantic Satori.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 13-10 Trouble and body

Today's Tao

I have big trouble because I have my body. (Ch.13)

Love your trouble because it is part of you.

You project your trouble, and your trouble projects you.

Zen Master Dogen uses the expression "You are mountains, rivers, and lands".

We can say, "we are mountains, rivers, lands, clouds, flowers, our happiness, our contentment, and, of course, our trouble".

Without them, we do not exist.
