Tao Te Ching Chapter 80-13 Life without intervention

Today's Tao

But they get old and end their life without coming and going between their countries. (Ch.80)

"Without coming and going" is a key (=Kanreisu) to understand how holograms work.

It suggests "no intervention", "no interference".

Why is Lao Tzu against the interference to a hologram?

A dewdrop reflecting the moonlight. (☞See Dogs and Roosters 80-12)

This is a beautiful metaphor of the Tao/hologram mechanism, Shin 心.

The moonlight is Tao, which is true You.

The whole world is a dewdrop reflecting the moonlight, which is a hologram.

Without the modern concept of a hologram, Zen Buddhists needed to invent the expression "Eye storage / 眼蔵 [genzo]".

In terms of our interpretation of space, there is only one hologram, which includes all the beings, objects and intangible information such as thoughts alike.

In terms of our interpretation of time, there are a myriad of holograms, which are being created simultaneously.

"Life" is a name given to one group of them. (☞See Out-Tao (Heresy) Seniya / Gedo Senni / Settled 80-9)

"Life without coming and going" implies that there is no causation between holograms or dewdrops.

No causation, therefore no intervention. It is no use.

The unique causation is 複 [fuku] / return, which is to keep Tao's energy cycling and recycling.

A hologram stimulates Tao.

Tao gives birth to a hologram.

In conclusion, there is only the receiving and giving of Love, which is also called Tao.

This receiving and giving of Tao's energy takes place on your face. (☞See Face Transmission / Menju / Beauty 80-8)

That's why we don't have our face in the hologram.

Have you ever seen your face directly?

Lao Tzu answers your question!

«Recommended Books 10» Which is more dangerous, nature or human beings? To many Japanese, the question doesn't make sense because they think human beings are part of nature. The word "artificial" is not an antonym of "natural". The outside world is filled with plenty of Kami, gods, which may help and protect us, but sometimes in a whimsical way destroy us, destroy us completely. Please read Masuji Ibuse's short story «Salamander» first. The work is considered a masterpiece in Japan, and many students read it at school. Into a cave under the stream, a frog was swept. The salamander blocked the entrance of the cave with his body. The salamander had been captured there because his body was too big to get away. Now he had a "friend". If you have some time, before you go straight to «Black Rain», please read his «Castaways». It is about a young fisherman cast away by a typhoon and rescued by an American boat when it was illegal to leave Japan. Their docile acceptance of what it is and what it is happening will certainly give you another flavor when you read «Black Rain». Although Shohei Imamura's film is excellent, the end of the story is not precisely the same. It is worth reading the novel. Which after-taste do you prefer?

Tao Te Ching Chapter 73-7 I shin den shin / No call

Today's Tao

It doesn't call any, but they come somehow. (Ch.73)

You don't call them.

You don't even say anything.

But they will respond.

They will even come to you somehow.

It sounds like the ultimate form of non-verbal communication such as Hara gei, the belly art.

In the domain of art in Japan, particularly martial art, non-verbal communication is a must.

We call it 以心伝心 [i shin den shin], which means "by heart, transmit heart".

This is a Kanreisu (=a bar or a spring) to better understand Zen.

This Kanji / Chinese character 心 [shin] is often translated as heart or mind.

Like the English word "heart", it also signifies "the center".

The word 心 [shin] suggests the center of the mechanism.

By the mechanism, transmit the mechanism.

In this Tao/hologram mechanism, everything comes about by itself, 自然 [ji nen].

Tao Te Ching Chapter 64-4 While minute

Today's Tao

It is easy to erase a thing while it is minute. (Ch.64)

"A thing" is your hologram.

The Kanreisu (the bar / spring for your spiritual leap in Zen) here is that your own self is part of a hologram.

Tao projects a hologram.

The hologram stimulates Tao.

As Zen Master Dogen clarifies it,

this exchange mechanism of energy between projection and stimulation is what we call Life or Self.

(☞See Before materialization 64-2)

Self is not individual or independent, but a name for the mechanism.

Therefore, Self does not exist as a tangible entity.

"Erase" the concept of Self if you think it exists.

If your own self or ego is minute, it is easy to forget it.

Tao answers your question!

Ju-on 呪怨 means "curse - grudge". Do the Japanese hold a grudge against someone and never forget it? In general, no. We forget things easily. Rarely we plan well and revenge ourselves well. Nevertheless, it does not mean that all the happy-go-lucky islanders in Far East are incapable of holding a grudge. Of course, some do. They do it very well. They even commercialize their curse. Having enjoyed commercial success, the film «Ju-on the Grudge» was turned into a video game. It is available on Nintendo Wii.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 62-10 Highly appreciated

Today's Tao

Therefore, it's appreciated by the world under the sky. (Ch.62)

What is the treasure?

It is Tao.

What is "the world under the sky"?

The world is your hologram.

Therefore, the last sentence of Chapter 62 Treasure is interpreted:

"Tao is appreciated by your hologram".

Your hologram includes your own self, other people, all the material beings, and even thoughts and feelings.

Here we have a precious key, or Kanreisu (a bar / spring).

Everything exists in order to appreciate, love, and accept Tao through other beings and non-beings.

It means that no elements in the hologram interfere with each other.

What?

That's right.

There is no cause and effect inside the hologram no matter how much it appears otherwise.

The sole cause and effect takes place between you and Tao.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 54-4 Body

Today's Tao

Learn it in the body, and its attainment is true. (Ch.54)

This paragraph is a kanreisu (a bar / spring) to understand Tao and Zen.

Let's remember the mechanism of the holograms and use Reverse Thinking.

Body is bigger than Family.

Family is bigger than Village.

Village is bigger than Country.

First, love your body.

This is the best and true attainment of Tao.

Second, love your family.

The closer they are to you, the more important they are.

What they say are catalysts for you, in other words, Tao's messages.

Third, love the environment you are living in right now.

In the end, love the world in general.

Don't get annoyed by what the media tell you.

☞The floating world, Uki-yo in Japanese, is the way they look at life. That's where geisha girls used to dwell and yakuza men were heroes. Tao Te Ching Chapter 51-7 By itself

Today's Tao

No one has given them a title or something, but it always so comes about by itself. (Ch.51)

Today we have a Kanreisu (a bar / spring) of Tao and Zen.

You project your hologram, but you are not responsible for it.

We think the society or the world exists outside you, but in fact it exists inside you.

You project your hologram.

But the one who projects it is part of the hologram itself.

In Zen Buddhism, they say:

"是什麼物恁麼来 [ze inmo butsu inmo rai]

Where on earth did this «what on earth» thing come from?"

In your hologram, everything "comes about by itself".

It is 自然 [ji nen].

☞Sometimes, the language you use is crucial. It enormously affects the way you think. The Japanese language is composed of the mixture of Kanji Chinese characters and Hiragana / Katakana phonetic letters. In the olden days, soft-looking Hiragana letters were not considered official or "masculine", and it was women who started using them with imagination and creativity. «The Tale of Genji» is one of the oldest works written by a female Japanese novelist. «The Housekeeper and the Professor» is one of the latest. It is written by an up-and-coming star in modern Japanese literature, Yoko Ogawa. She tells you about mathematics and love.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 45-6 Capable = Incapable

Today's Tao

Big's capability seems incapable. (Ch.45)

"If Tao is the almighty creator of everything, what on earth did it do to create such a world as this!"

Today's episode is another Kanreisu 関捩子 (a bar / spring) to understand Tao and Zen better.

Tao creates your hologram.

Tao is the source of your hologram.

Then, is Tao responsible for your hologram, that is to say, your life?

The answer is "No".

Tao has no intention.

It does not control any.

Therefore, Zen Buddhists use the expression 恁麼 [inmo], which means «what on earth».

Dogen quotes Sokei Eno's words to Nangaku Ejo (曹谿慧能 to 南嶽懐譲):

"是什麼物恁麼来

[ze inmo butsu inmo rai]

Where on earth did this «what on earth» thing come from?"

(Inmo 恁麼, «Shobogenzo»)

It means:

"Don't think about the cause of your hologram. Just accept it." (By accepting it, you emit Buddha's Love.)

[Note]
Sokei Eno's words to Nangaku Ejo appear in Book 5 of «Record of the Transmission of the Lamp / 景徳伝燈録».

Tao Te Ching Chapter 41-3 Born from you

Today's Tao

Everything under the sky is born from you. (Ch.41)

What are things?

What is existence?

It is your own self.

Zen master Dogen says:

"You extend yourself and make you the world."

われを排列しおきて尽界とせり [ware o hairetsu shiokite jinkai to seri]

(Uji 有時 , «Shobogenzo»)

The master says clearly:

Time = Things = Self.

Your own self is the mother of the world.

For it projects the hologram of the world, including your own self.

Why including your own self?

Because the world IS your own self.

It is the projector and projected at the same time.

That's why there is no difference between your own self and the rest of the world.

That's why I ask you not to judge.

This is another Kanreisu (a bar / spring) of Zen and Tao.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 20-17 High wind I

Today's Tao

Hissing like high wind never being stopped. (Ch.20)

Tao is like high wind, hissing all night long.

We feel like a child who thinks the storm will never end.

It is a beautiful way to say that Tao is energy constantly in motion.

But, like yesterday, we should stop the comparison here.

The word "energy" can be misleading as Lao Tzu thinks that any word is inappropriate to describe Tao.

This is the true key to understand Tao.

It is what Zen monks call Kanreisu 関捩子 (a bar/spring).

So, please, I beseech you, picture energy without time and space.

Can you?
